PJID uses the bespoke eWorkFlow system to streamline manuscript handling. This allows authors to track progress in real-time and reduces delays. Most authors receive a first decision within 4-6 weeks, with revisions and final decisions typically completed within 8-10 weeks total.

Is PJID indexed or archived in recognised repositories?

Yes, PJID is archived in the British Library and Portico, meaning it is preserved and indefinitely discoverable. We are actively pursuing indexing in major databases relevant to infectious diseases to further increase visibility and citation potential for authors.

Does PJID accept interdisciplinary research that spans multiple fields?

Yes, PJID actively encourages interdisciplinary research that bridges infectious diseases with fields such as public health, immunology, pharmacology, and environmental science. Submissions that explore cross-sector responses to global health threats or integrate clinical and laboratory findings are all welcome.
